About the Classes:
Classes are Free.
You'll have the opportunity to learn dances from all around the Pacific, with an emphasis on Hula and Tahitian.
Language, traditional stories, using cultural impliments, as well as drumming, song, and music are explored along the way.
Our classes are Very Disciplinded. Kumu Keoni is intent on teaching correct technique with commitment and feeling. Each dancer is expected to find the joy in dance through attention to detail, determination and a humble pride in oneself. Be prepared, work hard, gain confidence, and make some friends.

Ilima Yellow for the Kaikamahine

Plain Yellow Pareau (no print) for Tahitian
Weighted Sand Belt (kumu will supply) for Tahitian
Kane (all ages): BLACK loose shorts
All Keiki, Kaikamahine, Wahine: Hair should be pulled back into a bun. No jewelry.
First-timers please wear loose shorts.
Bring a folder with paper and pencil,
and drinking water.
